The post Looking to 2023: Commitment to Blogging Made Smarter… appeared on ProBlogger with a little help.
Feeling a little down? There are many of us at this time of year. It's been a great 12 months and I think most bloggers are looking forward to a break in the coming weeks.
If you're like me, you can use this time not only to recharge your batteries, but also to think about the year ahead and how you want to approach it. In addition to making resolutions for other areas of your life, you can make some New Year's resolutions for blogging.
The blog solution: Work smart...help a little
If there's one resolution I recommend to all bloggers for 2023, it's to work smarter.
There's always more work to do on the blog - the work never ends! - and as several readers pointed out in our recent post about social media failures, timing is of the essence. Longer hours may not be the answer.
For me, delegation has been one of the keys to working smarter. I got help blogging, which gave me more time to focus on the things that really needed attention .
Looking back, I regret not empowering earlier in my blogging career.
You don't have to make five or six figures to take advantage of someone else's expertise and promote your own blog. It doesn't have to be a long term contract either.
We have posted some guides on different jobs on your website. If you haven't seen them yet, check them out. They'll give you food for thought for the holidays.

Hire a blogger or writer
ProBlogger Job Board has been the leading marketplace for blogging jobs for 15 years. Bloggers have an impressive and often unique skill set. Due to the growing demand for content, more and more companies and publications are demanding these capabilities. If you are looking for a blogger to help you in any way, post a job starting at $80 for 15 days. The most obvious use of our message boards is to find bloggers who regularly post on your blog, but advertisers have used them with great success in other ways, including: blog post writers; editors social media manager; Web developer; Virtual assistants and more.
It counts
Outsourcing aspects of your blog, even as a one-off project, can be expensive. While the above resources will help you avoid theft, many bloggers will wonder how they can justify the expense.
I think the answer to this question is to accept the idea that outsourcing is somehow self-supporting.
This means setting a conversion goal for your newly designed online store. Or it could mean spending time you shouldn't spend redesigning your website, creating and launching a new product, or getting conversions from your email subscriber list. Regardless of the rental, plan to recoup the cost when you take time off. Either do the work yourself or take the extra time and pay the outsourcing fee.
Set a financial goal for your business and a time period in which you want to pay back the costs. This way, you can make sure you're not throwing money away, investing in your blog and tracking your returns over time.
How's your new year's blog resolution? And what else can you think of? Let us know in the comments.
