For beginners, the learning curve for blogging can be steep. On top of everything related to blog visibility and technical questions, there are questions about focus, content, types of research, and of course, how to connect with your readers.

They try hard day in and day out with no noticeable success. How to stay motivated in difficult times? These are the techniques that I use.

1. Do what you love.

It's much easier to stay motivated when you're constantly thinking and engaging with the topic you're blogging about. When you enjoy your topic, it will be easier for you to generate content ideas, connect with readers, and develop a welcoming and warm voice that fosters relationships and builds readership.

2. Do it step by step.

When you start a blog, it's easy to get overwhelmed with all the things you think you need to do to help it grow. Realize in advance that your blog is not likely to become successful overnight, and keep gaining momentum. Instead of focusing on what you haven't done yet, spend time every week reviewing what you've done and thinking about how you can use those results.

If you want to avoid burnout, you must be good to yourself. Otherwise, it's all too easy to tell yourself that it's too difficult, that you don't have time, and give up.

3. Planning, planning and planning.

If you haven't already, develop a flexible and clear attack plan to increase the content and reach of your blog. A goal-oriented plan will help you control your expectations of yourself, as well as review and evaluate the results of your work.

This regular review gives you information that fuels your efforts to make each new advertising approach more successful and helps you avoid the unplanned “I have to do everything now” approach that quickly tires even the most motivated blogger.

When you plan, you are likely to identify easy wins, things that you hope are achieved or worth it at some level. Perhaps these tasks will reach many readers, or maybe you know that you will really like them. Try to distribute these responsibilities so that you know you have a favorite job around the corner when things go wrong. Over time, this can make a huge difference to your motivation.

4. Allow downtime.

Once you have a plan, plan for downtime. Make sure you don't always work in a hurry, and if you do, only work for a manageable period of time. Make sure you schedule time for family and friends and be flexible with your schedule.

First of all, allow yourself to truly enjoy this free time and don't spend it feeling guilty thinking about all the things you need to do to start your blog.

5. Understand that everyone has bad days.

certainly. Some of us have bad weeks! And the most famous. This does not mean that you have to give up or that you don't have what you need. Of course you have it, the truth is that you have to manage it to get the most out of it. If you're having a bad day, don't worry. Accept that this is part of life.

If you want to give up, allow yourself to feel it. Face their discomfort and see if there is a way to overcome or fix it and improve your blog in the process. After all, necessity is the mother of invention. Sometimes it's the thin end of the wedge that gives us momentum to create innovative solutions that make our blogs and our work on them infinitely more fun.
